Dear, you,
Tell me, how long will it take you to
mention yourself if I told you to list all the
beautiful things in the world? Tell me, how
long will it take you to fall in love with your
skin and your fading scars? How long will
take you to be yourself? How long will it
take you to fall in love with your choices?
The blames you put on yourself, the self
loathe, the negative thoughts, darling, you
don't deserve anything of that sort. I don't
know what made you hate your existence. I
don't know what happened to your smile
but all I can say is that I hope you realize
that your soul is crying for you to come back
to your true self, I hope you realize that
these days you're wasting on people who
don't wanna stay are precious, these days
that are passing by as you feel left out will
never be here again. I hope you realize that
you're enough. I hope happiness visits you
soon, I hope you fall in love with your voice
and every imperfection you own, hope you
forgive yourself for every mistake you made
by wronging your soul. You deserve a lot but
you'll get nothing if you're too hard on
yourself. Before you shower, you love on
someone else, I hope you'll remember that
you need your love too.

This is a safe space, this person gets me!

Someone who has shown me they were in my corner was my friend who I first is crazy like me; we became friends after recognizing our similar tastes in books, and penchant for morning coffee. We'd eventually come to realize we had more in common than initially thought. I don't know how to explain it fully but when I talked to her, about anything and everything I felt that sense of "this is a safe space, this person gets me".
